On our second day in Munich, we headed out on the Autobahn in our rental car to see the castles of Bavaria. We hiked up the hill overlooking the crystal clear Alpsee Lake to Hohenschwangau castle first.
Photography wasn't allowed inside, but the star of the show for this castle was the setting anyway. The views were unbelievable.
We had some time before our tour of Neuschwanstein, so we walked by the water and just tried to take it all in. The beauty of the mountains and the water was just overwhelming,
We had a quick lunch, and then started the big hike way up to Neuschwanstein.
We had the best time and loved every minute.
